Wedding traditions of Ukrainians

The prelude to the annual cultural and artistic festival “Kniazha Rodyna” was the exhibition from the stock collection of the National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine “FALL IN LOVE, BLACKBROWED MAIDENS”. Today, the Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, Oleksandr Tkachenko, and the Director General of the National Conservation Area “St. Sophia of Kyiv”, Nelia Kukovalska, took part in its opening.

Numerous visitors to the exhibition in the halls of the Bakery were able to experience the unique flavor of one of the brightest and favorite rites of Ukrainians – weddings. Ancient traditions, customs and paraphernalia of this event have survived to our time and have become a kind of bridge connecting the past and the present.
