We invite you to take part in the work of

IX Sudak International Scientific Conference

“Black Sea Coast, Crimea, Rus’ in History and Culture”

 on September 24-25, 2020

The theme of the conference: “Problems of the Crimea monuments preservation “.

Dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of architect E.I. Lopushinskaya

 

Continuing the scientific traditions of the Sudak Fortress Museum Department, National Conservation Area “St. Sophia of Kyiv” is holding the IX Sudak International Scientific Conference “Black Sea Coast, Crimea, Rus’ in History and Culture” on September 24-25 this year at the Sophia Museum in Kyiv, address: Volodymyrska street, 24.

Conference working days: September 24-25, 2020

The following sections are planned to work:

Section 1: History and archeology of Crimea and the Northern Black Sea coast from ancient times;

Section 2: Byzantium – Crimea – Rus’: ties and cultural contacts;

Section 3: Problems of protection and restoration of monuments.

Speeches will be heard at plenary and sectional meetings, poster presentations are possible.

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to select the topics of speeches for inclusion in the conference program. Working languages ​​of the conference – Ukrainian, English.

Payment of expenses (travel, accommodation, and meals) – at the expense of the sending institution. Accommodation issues are decided by the conference participants themselves.

Following the conference, it is planned to publish a collection of materials. Texts up to 1 printed sheet are submitted until 01.12.2020 in electronic form in Word format (any version) or txt. Illustrations – black and white photos, graphics (ink, quality photocopiers). Illustrations sent electronically must have a resolution of at least 300 dpi with a linear dimension of at least 12 cm wide. Captions to illustrations are made in a separate list in a separate file.

Notes, in particular with references to literature, are made in the standard subpage reference. The title of a literary work or source, to which the article refers for the first time, is indicated in full, for example:

Barvinsky B. Two mysterious Khan’s yarlyks on the Rus’ lands from the second half of the 15th century // Historical reasons. Explorations, notes and materials on the history of Ukraine-Rus’. V. 2. Lviv, 1909. P. 16.

The following references to the same work are abbreviated, for example:

Texts drawn up without complying with these requirements and submitted after the deadline will not be published. The Editorial Board reserves the exclusive right to select materials for the collection, based on its subject matter and compliance with the rules of design of the submitted materials.
