The team of St. Sophia of Kyiv expresses condolences on the death of the director of the Museum of the First Piasts on Lednica

The team of the National Conservation Area “St. Sophia of Kyiv”, led by the general director Nelia Kukovalska, express their deepest condolences on the grievous loss – the death of the director of the Museum of the First Piasts on Lednica, professor, doctor of sciences Andrzej M. Wyrwa.

Thanks to the cooperation initiated between our museum institutions, which has been successfully developed recently, we will remember Mr. Wyrwa as an devotee and luminary of the museum work, a knight of Polish culture, whose undeniable authority served and will serve as a bright example for museum workers.

A man of thorough knowledge, he cared for the preservation of the monuments of Poland historical heritage with great love.

We hope that our joint museum projects, which reflect the historical relations between Ukraine and Poland during the princely times and which have always received the understanding and effective support of Andrzej M. Wyrva, will continue in the future.

We express our condolences to the family of the deceased, his loved ones and the entire team of the Museum of the First Piasts on Lednica.

Rest in peace!
