of the 4th CULTURAL AND ART FESTIVAL “PRINCELY FAMILY / REGIO GENUS”

SEPTEMBER 12

 

Lectures and excursions for adults

12.00 – lecture “Kyiv saga. Elizabeth, Queen of the Vikings “(Metropolitan’s Residence Museum, 1 hour).

12.00 – excursion around the basements of the Metropolitan’s Residence “Kitchen and household of the Kyiv metropolitans of the 18th century” (30 min).

15.00 – excursion “Ukraine-Rus’ in the family circle of Europe” (St. Sophia Cathedral, 45 min).

16.00 – lecture “The city and people in the graphics of artists of the sixties”. With the support of the DOM Master Klass Cultural Centre (territory, under the ash tree, 45 minutes).

 

Children’s educational programs, quests, workshops

11.00 – quest in English for children aged 10 years “Secrets of Ancient Walls” (territory, 2 hours).

12.00 – master class “Make jewelry yourself” (territory, 3 hours).

13.00 – interactive educational program “Road from Kyiv to Senlis” (territory, near Zaborovsky Gate, 45 minutes).

13.00 – quest for children aged 8-10 years “What does the ancient city silent about” (collection near the Golden Gate Museum, 2 hours 15 minutes, ticket price – 100 UAH).

14.00 – educational program “Fairy-tale heroes of Andersen. Drawing on glass “(Metropolitan’s House Museum, territory, 1 hour).

15.00 – quest for children from 14 years old “Baroque Wonders of Sophia” (territory, 1 hour).

15.00 – educational program “Medieval City” from the children’s architectural studio Arch4kids (territory, 3 hours).

 

15.00 – 16.00 – concert “Pearls of world choral music” performed by the choir “Blagovist” (territory, near Zaborovsky Gate).

11.00 – 18.00 – Sophia Plein Air – 2020.

10.00 – 17.30 – exhibitions “Andersen’s Palace of Fairy Tales” (Metropolitan’s House Museum), “Shades of Ukrainian Baroque” (Zaborovsky Gate), “Painting by Oleksandr Dubovyk”, “Graphics of artists of the sixties” (Bakery Exhibition Halls).

12.00 – lecture / film screening “Ingigerd-Iryna. Yaroslav’s Wife” (Metropolitan House Museum, 1 hour).

13.00 – lecture “Sources of freshness. Architectural history of fountains “(territory, near the fountain” 9 springs “, 1 hour).

17.00 – excursion “Monastery Garden” (territory, 45 minutes).

12.00 – master class in calligraphy (territory, near Zaborovsky Gate, 1 hour).

12.00 – master class “Make jewelry yourself” (territory, 3 hours).

14.00 – master class in Petrykivsky painting (territory, 1 hour).

14.00 – educational program “Fairy-tale heroes of Andersen. Drawing on glass “(Metropolitan’s House Museum, territory, 1 hour).

15.00 – quest for children from 14 years old “Baroque Wonders of Sophia” (territory, 1 hour).

15.00 – 16.00 – concert “Music of the Baltic”. Piano music by composers from Denmark, Norway and Poland performed by Anna Korneva and Iryna Ozerova (territory).

PLEASE NOTE!

The cost of a ticket for one festival day is UAH 100 (full), UAH 40 (discounted – for schoolchildren, students and pensioners of Ukraine). The price includes all events of one festival day, except for a ticket to the quest “What does the ancient city silent about”. The festival ticket also allows you to visit St. Sophia Cathedral, exhibitions and permanent expositions in the Bakery Exhibition Halls, Zaborovsky Gate, Metropolitan’s Residence Museum.
