The II meeting of the Scientific and Restoration Council of the National Conservation Area “St. Sophia of Kyiv” was held

Today, at the meeting of the second Scientific and Restoration Council of the National Conservation Area “St. Sophia of Kyiv” the works of the artist-restorer of the 1^st category A. Skoromnaia on the restoration of the fabric of the reverse side of the “Lord Almighty” icon of the end of the 19^th century were accepted and the monumental painting in the altar part of the aisle of the Dormition of the Mother of God restored by the artist-restorer of the 1^st qualification category D. Kaporikov. The program of restoration measures for the fabric fragments from the coffin of the Metropolitan of Kyiv and Halytskyi Raphail Zaborovskyi (1676-1747) buried in St. Sophia was also approved, and the restoration work for the wooden carved and gilded Sophia iconostasis of the 18^th century was approved.
