The chief adviser to the President of Brazil Celso Amorim visited St. Sophia of Kyiv

During the official visit to Ukraine, the Brazilian delegation led by the chief diplomatic adviser to the President of Brazil, Celso Amorim, visited the National Conservation Area “St. Sophia of Kyiv”. Accompanied by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Melnyk and First Deputy General Director of the National Conservation Area “St. Sophia of Kyiv” Vadym Kyrylenko, the distinguished guests listened an excursion at St. Sophia Cathedral, which was conducted by acting head of the international cooperation sector of the Conservation Area Nataliia Tymoshenko.

During this cultural program, distinguished guests heard a story about the thousand-year history of Ukraine and the struggle of the Ukrainian nation for its independence and identity.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Celso Amorim signed the Book of Honored Guests, and in memory of the visit he was presented with the fundamental book “Saint Sophia of Kyiv” and a number of other publications about the monuments of the Conservation Area.
