Seminary

Seminary

To the north of the cathedral the Seminary is situated, built in 1763–1767 by architects M. Yurasov and P. Papov. The two-storey rectangular building extends from east to west by almost 108 m. Two protrusions on the southern facade facing the cathedral form a main entrance in front of the Seminary. The building is given majesty by a high stepped roof. The facades are divided by pilasters, which give the elongated structure a clear rhythm. Beautifully decorated windows are grouped between the pilasters. Today it houses the Central State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art of Ukraine.
