PALM SUNDAY! HAPPY HOLIDAY!
In the jubilee year of the 165th anniversary of the birth of M. Vrubel we continue publications about his life and work.

This composition was written by M. Vrubel under the southern choirs of the Cyril’s Church, he worked with the assistant young artist F. Zozulin, who performed the right part of the work.
Christ on the donkey goes to his death and at the same time to eternal life, to the meeting with the Father and to his exaltation, to the victory over death, to the salvation of all mankind. Behind him, 12 disciples, Paul and Peter ahead, the inhabitants of Jerusalem joyfully welcome the Savior. He is saluted with the branches of the palm trees, and with the words “Hosanna to the Son of David”. Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord!
