Minister of Defense of Norway Bjørn Arild Gram visited the National Conservation Area “St. Sophia of Kyiv”

The dignitary was met by the general director of the Conservation Area Nelia Kukovalska.

During the tour, Mr. Bjørn Arild Gram was acquainted with the history of St. Sophia, its priceless mosaics and frescoes, and the most legendary event in the thousand-year history of relations between Kyiv and Oslo was not overlooked: the marriage of Harald Hardrada of Norway and the daughter of Yaroslav the Wise and Ingegerd Yelyzaveta (Scandinavian name — Elisiv).

At the end of the meeting, the national anthem of Norway was performed for the minister on the only mobile carillon in Ukraine.
