Meeting of the Scientific and Restoration Council at the Museum of St. Andrew’s Church

On November 26, 2019, a meeting of the Scientific and Restoration Council of the National Conservation Area “Saint-Sophia of Kyiv” was held. The Council accepted the completed works on restoration of three icons from the basement row of the iconostasis of St. Andrew’s Church of the 18^th century (“Sacrament of Baptism, Anointing,” “Sacrament of Marriage, Holiness,” and “Sacrament of Repentance, Holy Communion”), paintings “Choice of Faith by Prince Vladymyr” by artist J. Egginka, 1822 (oil, canvas) and its wooden carved gilded frame (wooden carved pulpit of the 18th century in the interior of St. Andrew’s Church). Also, the program of restoration of the iconostasis of St. Andrew’s Church of the18^th century was adopted at the meeting (carving, gilding, background) and the program of restoration of three icons of iconostasis in the interior of St. Andrew’s Church of 18^th century.
