Exhibition “Medieval Sources of Our Common Heritage: Lednica Island – St. Sophia of Kyiv”
In advance of Ukraine’s Statehood Day, on July 26, at 5:00 p.m., the poster exhibition “Medieval Sources of Our Common Heritage: Lednica Island – St. Sophia of Kyiv” will open on the territory of the National Conservation Area “St. Sophia of Kyiv”.
This international inter-museum project represents the relationship between Piast Poland and Kyivan Rus during the early Middle Ages and the common Polish-Ukrainian historical heritage.
The exhibition is organized with the assistance of the Polish Institute in Kyiv / Instytut Polski w Kijowie. Director of the Polish Institute in Kyiv, counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Kyiv, Robert Chyzhevskyi, and general director of the National Conservation Area “St. Sophia of Kyiv”, Nelia Kukovalska, will take part in the opening.
