Estonian Parliament Speaker Jüri Ratas visits “St. Sophia of Kyiv”

On February 8, 2022, during his official visit to Ukraine, the Chairman of the Riigikogu of the Republic of Estonia Jüri Ratas together with the parliamentary delegation visited the landmark of Ukrainian culture – “St. Sophia of Kyiv”.

During the tour, accompanied by the director general of the Conservation Area Nelia Kukovalska, the distinguished guest inspected in detail the ancient paintings of St. Sophia Cathedral, the sarcophagus of Yaroslav the Wise, a prism with a modern image of Yaroslav and paid a special attention at a model of ancient Kyiv, where the guide told about the history of Kyivan Rus and the significant role of St. Sophia in it.
