Brethren’s Building
Brethren’s Building
Adjacent to the Metropolitan’s Residence from the north is the Brethren’s Building, built in the middle of the 18th century under the monks’ cells. It is an elongated structure almost 60 m along the north-south axis. Initially, it was one-storey, with an open gallery on the west facade. Already in the 60s of the 18th century the second floor was added above the building. In the 19th century a two-storey wooden gallery with stairs to the second floor is attached to the western façade. The Brethren’s Building now houses a repository of the Conservation Area.
