April 18 – International Day of Monuments and Sites

International Day of Monuments and Sites is celebrated on the initiative of the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS). The decision to commemorate the date was taken by the UNESCO General Assembly in 1983. In Ukraine, this day is called the “Day of Monuments of History and Culture” and was established in accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated 23.08.1999 № 1062/99.

The Ukrainian people have unique cultural heritage! Preserving, multiplying, and promoting these treasures is our daily mission we are committed to.
