A meeting of the Scientific and Restoration Council of the National Conservation Area “St. Sophia of Kyiv” was held
On November 17, at a meeting of the Scientific and Restoration Council chaired by the head of the scientific and restoration workshop of the Conservation Area, Honored Artist of Ukraine Anatolii Ostapchuk, members of the council accepted the completed works and approved the methods of restoration work for architectural graphics from the holdings of the reserve. The restoration of the ceramic decorative panel “Yaroslav the Wise” created in 1968 by the Honored Artist of Ukraine Halyna Sevruk and the wooden cherub from the burial of the Metropolitan of Kyiv and Galicia Raphail Zaborovskyi (1676 – 1747) was planned. Council members also accepted restored kerosene lamps from the middle and end of the 19th century, which will be exhibited in the Metropolitan’s Residence.
