30 years in UNESCO!

On May 28, at 3.30 pm, the exhibition hall on the choirs of St. Sophia Cathedral in will host the opening of an exhibition of icon painting from the collection of the National Conservation Area “St. Sophia of Kyiv” and the National Preserve “Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra”.

December 12, 1990 was significant for the state – two reserves became the first Ukraine sites inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The collected exhibits show the uniqueness and diversity of museum objects, which is an interesting and valuable component of the history of Rus-Ukraine, as well as an important page in the history of all mankind. The content of the exhibition demonstrates the kinship of two prominent architectural and historical sites in Ukraine.
