Today, November 3, 2021, in the House of the Metropolitan of the Sophia Conservation Area, the Scientific and Methodological Council of the National Conservation Area “St. Sophia of Kyiv” was held to accept the portrait of Sava Tuptalo by the Honored Artist of Ukraine Oleksandr Olkhov, as well as to discuss sculptural sketches of images of the saint Meletius of Antioch and Vatopedi Mother of God by sculptor Oleksandr Morhatskyi for the production of these icons in bronze and installation on the site of the lost ones in the niche of the northern facade of the St. Cyril’s Church.
The event took place within the framework of the patronage project “Reconstruction of lost shrines of the St. Cyril’s Church”. This is an important stage in the implementation of this project, the patrons of which are well-known experts and patriots of our national heritage, Kyiv residents Ihor Poluektov and Fedir Zernetskyi.
